How would it feel if, no matter what you did, you could not get rid of the unpleasant odor that emanated from your skin? How would you cope? Quite a few people would never want to venture outside. This is actually the way quite a few people really live. For those in this situation, excessive sweating and body odor are issues they must cope with every day. We will now discuss some possible solutions for this condition.
Avoid wearing clothing made from synthetic fabrics. Polyester especially exacerbates those with body odor and excessive sweating issues. When these fabrics cling to your skin, they inhibit your skin's ability to breath. Your body is forced to sweat more in order to cool off when your clothes keep air from reaching your skin. This excess sweating will lead to worse body odor than if your skin was allowed to breath. Not to mention, synthetic fabric is harder to clean. So choose clothes that are looser and made with natural fabrics such as cotton. Thrift shops should remain the home for synthetic fabrics.
Medical help can be the only way for some people to deal with their excessive sweating and body odor issues. Most commonly, antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications is what is prescribed to help with excessive sweating and body odor. These medications ability to help you maintain your level of calm is why they are prescribed. When a person is angry or nervous their body naturally produces more sweat. By remaining calm when under stress, you will sweat less. When you sweat less, you will find it easier to deal with any body odor.
Botox injections can be used to help treat body odor and excessive sweating but only in extreme cases. Extreme cases does not refer to the sweating you do after exercising or for every day type sweating. Intense sweating that is beyond your control is the only time you should consider botox and only then as a last resort. Botox can be used to block the nerves that trigger the sweat glands. The sweat glands are completely shut down with a small dose of botox. Do not attempt this method without first talking to your doctor and an endocrinologist. Using botox, especially in this circumstance, can only be done with a doctor's consent because it is a poison. I don't know anyone who likes sweat. This could feel pleasant during exercise but not many other times. Following that though it is icky and nasty. Noone has ever said "oh what a nice smell" when referring to body odor. The fact is most of us actually find it repulsive especially since we've been battling to prevent it. There are still thankfully, many things you can try to help prevent the condition. Because we are all so different we will each experience different results with each treatment option. Even if one option doesn't show the results you are looking for you should keep trying to find the right solution for you. You will discover what works and what doesn't.
