Such is their impact on the web arena that these have added a completely new dimension to Web Designing. Backed by technologies that came up in early 2011 and preceding years, these trends have paved the way for a new age web designing that is quite different from the old days.

* CSS + HTML5

The combine of CSS and HTML5 is all set to ease the burden on Flash when it comes to creating extraordinary design elements. Earlier, designers were overusing Flash for producing catchy designs that were eye-catching but took quite a time to download and were unfriendly to search engines as well. However, the advent of the mentioned technologies has widened the grin on the designers' face. They can now do away with the cons while maintaining the design element. * Mobile Device Compatibility

Web screen has grown smaller with every passing year in the last decade. And now, websites need to be mobile device compatible. Growing number of people are accessing the cyberspace on their mobile device, and businesses are keen to tap this new gateway to end customers. Development community is busy developing websites that are highly responsive to multiple viewports. New age websites need to stay in tune with the mobile screen.

* 3D Designing

Parallax scrolling has made it possible for the web designers to come with 3 dimensional designs. Deploying the technique, they can create a sense of depth using parallel layers creating an illusion of 3 D space. Background images move slower than foreground image producing the impression. What is more, the magic can be produced with simple CSS tricks or Spritely jQuery plugins! Creative designers love to engage in 3D designing.

* Touchscreen-oriented Website Designs

Visitors using touchscreen devices face difficulty negotiating mouse-oriented websites. For instance, if a link brightens up when the mouse hovers over, the user with a touchscreen device will be unable to see it as touchscreen offers no hovering. Using drop-down menus on touchscreen devices has also its share of problems. This has led to the development of touchscreen-compatible website designs. With the use of touchscreen devices increasing, the trend is there to stay.

* Liquid Layouts

Website design is no longer bound to screen resolutions. Users can change viewing orientation from vertical to horizontal at will and a website must be able to meet the challenge. Standard web designs are horizontally positioned, but it does not work on devices such as iPad or e-reader as these are vertically oriented. Liquid layouts is the solution to this designing dilemma.

* Simple Color Schemes

Simplicity is the buzzword in web design alleys. Designers are trying to produce remarkable designs in simple manner. They create sleek web designs but limit palette to two or three colors. Gone are the days when bright colors were stuffed onto the page to 'impress' the visitors. Designers now aim to come up with designs that are light on colors and hefty on impact.

Technologies backing these trends have become the standard mark of web designers Los Angeles, London or Tokyo, these trends have taken the cyberspace by storm.
