Website money making appealed to me because of it's potential to earn big money online. Technology has given me, and all of us for that matter, the opportunity to share in the huge amounts of money being made online. But I was, by my own admission, a 'raw recruit' when it came to a 'make money website' And just like most people starting out, I was quickly overwhelmed by the number of sites offering life-changing amounts of money, for little more than the left click of a mouse.

There was a temptation to just go crazy, click and join-up to anything and everything that was free and offered to stuff my mailbox full of cash. And why not? if they were free to join and the earnings were real I could just treat it like a numbers game, dedicate one whole day in front of the computer and then kick back and watch the moolah roll in.

Okay, it's right about now we should be able to hear all those wise and seasoned internet marketers shifting uneasily in their seats. Yes, I think I knew that could be my first mistake. There is an acronym that is used quite a lot in business. That acronym is K.I.S.S, (keep it simple stupid), and in this case I thought it might be wise to keep things simple. Sure it's possible to make money online playing the numbers game, if I was lucky, but what I really wanted, what I'd always dreamt of for years before taking the first step, was a passive income that was easily sustainable. Playing the numbers game would quickly become like the job I was trying to replace, hard work for very little return; I needed to work smarter.

So! First things first, how do I get my own website? What I needed was a plan I could follow, a process for building a website. Even better, would be someone who could show me how to do it, a mentor, someone who had, been there and done that. I'd always thought of myself as reasonably intelligent, well read, and I'd been surfing the net for years words and phrases such as; domain names and web hosting were familiar to me but I needed someone to explain the process of putting a website, together, step by step, so I could understand it, as any business man should understand his business.

Alright, so now I knew what I wanted and also what I didn't want. I didn't want to waste more money chasing that elusive dream of working from home. So how much was I willing to pay to have someone step me through the process? To be honest, not very much. In fact I wanted to stop spending money online, searching for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I was determined to make money online not spend it and line the pockets of a less scrupulous internet marketer. And another thing was time, I didn't want to spend weeks setting up a website only to succomb to information overload. I wanted it quick, I wanted it for free, and I wanted it to work.

Sounds like a tall order I know, but it is possible. The average Joe,(or Jane) could have a fully functioning website within 24 hours. A website that could be earning you money within weeks. All the information and the mentor to walk you through this is free, if you know where to look. And the cost? Well all I can say is, sometimes you need to speculate to accumulate. Registering a domain name is one cost you can't avoid, about $10 if you shop around, and paying to have your website hosted, well under $50 for 2 years of hosting, again shop around and thats about it. A simple one page website is all you'll need to start making money online.
