Sometimes it can seem hopeless. We spend so much time trying ti find a way to lose the weight we are carrying but everywhere we turn there is just as much junk trying to pull us back into gaining. Sometimes it can feel as though the world is against us and that there isn't a way that you can successfully lose weight.
Despite feeling this way, this is NOT the case. You can lose weight successfully and without it being difficult. Weight loss can be easy and enjoyable but we need to take a change in perspective. Instead of looking for quick weight loss or trying diets that offer extreme changes, we have to work more so with what we have got.
Changing our eating habits and lifestyle takes time and a commitment. We are creatures of habit and if we want to make long term changes with as little disruption as possible then we need to take things slow and not put too much on our plate at a time.
So how do we work with what we have? Well we have to know what we have before we can work with it. Many people don't really pay too much attention to what they eat on a daily basis and so when it comes to dieting don't have the information they need in order to make the best days. For a few days, write down everything you eat and drink. Once you have this information you will have a good indication of where you can begin to make changes. Making changes at first can be as simple as only drinking water and herbal tea (which will cut out a lot of wasted calories). Don't make too big of a change or you will feel overwhelmed at be more likely to go back to old habits.
As well as cutting things out of your diet it is also wise to incorporate things too. Incorporating more fruits and vegetables will help you cut out other things and also feel more satiated. Eat fruit before every meal and as much as you desire and not only will you eat less of your main meal but you will be less likely to overeat and go back to old ways.
Making small changes will help those changes become permanent. Small changes can also have a huge impact on your weight. Something as simple as only drinking water can really help you lose a lot of weight. Lastly changing does take effort. If you were to change everything overnight it would be a struggle as we are creatures of habit and like to go back to what we are comfortable with. This isn't an issue if you are making small changes every few weeks.
