West Palm Beach car news: Subaru sales jump 35 percent
After a rough and tumble 2009, automakers everywhere are making recoveries to stability
, some even topping numbers from prior to the recession. For instance, Kia logged a record year in 2009 due to the dependability and fuel efficiency of its excellent, inexpensive small cars. West Palm Beach used car dealers haven't been doing too shabbily since the recovery began, either. But one of the most surprising and impressive stories by far has been the emergence of Subaru, a brand that has always held a role in the industry but never one so prominent. West Palm used cars are generating rave reviews about their quality and it is for good reason.
In fact, May was a huge month for the little brand. Subaru was lucky enough to log a whopping 35 percent sales jump in May in comparison to last year's numbers. West Palm Beach used car dealers were impressed to hear that May numbers reached as high as 23,667 units sold over the course of the month. This was the best May that the brand has seen in its respectable career on the market. Perhaps more importantly, Subaru's year-to-date sales are up nearly 30,000 units from the previous record, logging in at 104,359 units sold. That is huge news and a record breaking event for the Subaru brand. West Palm used cars have been selling like hotcakes as a result of the driving public's renewed interest in Subaru.
"We have consistently been achieving sales records over the past two years," said Tim Colbeck, senior vice president of sales, Subaru of America, Inc. "That consistency shows the fundamental strength of the brand and reflects increasing awareness among buyers that our products provide a unique combination of safety, utility, performance and value."
The numbers represent consistent growth in a company that could be vying for a top spot in an industry that has been up for grabs over the past year. Some of the major brands really failed us over the course of the recession, leading to poor sales numbers for their models West Palm Beach used car dealers. But, in a voracious consumer market, you get what you deserve and Subaru certainly deserves some record breaking sales numbers. Part of the huge numbers put up over the course of the year are due to the increasing popularity of the Subaru Outback, which saw a sales jump of more than double, logging a 124 percent increase. West Palm used cars were certainly among some of the numbers counted in this huge jump.
Well, where bigger brands have failed, it is good to see other smaller brands picking up the slack. If I were Subaru, I'd take some serious advantage of the momentum by keeping marketing initiatives on track. The brand name really has to stay in the public eye to make sure car shoppers are still paying attention to it. Whatever they are doing, it seems they are doing it right, so that's a good thing.
