What Are Spectacle Lenses?

You see other people wear glasses by the road side

. When you see people wearing glasses, the first thing that comes into your mind is poor vision or something that relates to people having difficulty seeing things. One thing that got you curious is how these people ever got to see clearly with their glasses.

The glasses these people wear are no ordinary glass you see everyday in malls or on your table. They are special glasses called Spectacle Lens or brilleglas that helps correct their vision so that they will be able to clearly. They cannot wear this spectacle lenses if there is no frame supporting it.

People before even wearing glasses always go to a doctor and have their eyes checked to determine the condition of their eyes. The doctor then prescribes a pair of glasses for them basing on the test that was conducted with the patient. Most of it end with letting the patient test a series of spectacle lenses to check which lenses can they see better.

The invention of spectacle lenses or brilleglas began to evolve. There are even demands for eye surgery and contact lenses but the use of spectacle lenses still remained.
