What Are The Mage Talents

Being a Mage requires you to follow any of the three major talent trees of the class Fire

, Frost and Arcane. These house Mage talents that can obliterate as well as neutralize opponents depending on whether burst damage or AoE spells are used. Mages, as they level up, also acquire talents for crowd control, damage dealing, curse removal, and spell casting.

The class truly shines though with their impressive Area of Effect or AoE and solid single target damage spells. They are not the same with other magic-wielding classes in the game in that they are not DoT damage dealers, nor are they a pet class, or other things associated with magic classes. They are a class that mainly specializes in nuking their opponents with spells that are based on Frost, Fire, and Arcane magic. Because of these qualities and other Mage trademarks, the class has been known to be the original 'glass cannons'.

{Arcane}

Arcane magic roots from the powers that once flowed from the Wall of Eternity in Kalimdor. With the passing of time, the Mages became the first to wield this power. As the primary wielders of Arcane magic, the Mages have learned to maximize whatever power Arcane provides.

The Arcane tree and its talents namely the Arcane Blast and Arcane Missiles are what make the Mages a nuking class. Both talents are known to deliver solid direct arcane hits that can easily swipe off opponents. The Arcane talent tree also offers the Slow spell which can slow enemies down to a halt and the instant-damage ranged attack called the Arcane Barrage. Burst damage-wise, the tree also presents the Arcane Power and the Presence of Mind.

Although the Arcane tree can deliver impressive damage, this isnt the tree that's fit for leveling. The majority of the signature talents in this tree are often too demanding that lower level characters have no access to them.

{Fire}

A Mage specializing in the Fire talents can inflict massive sustained damage with quite good mana regeneration. A Fire Mage that has invested most of its points in this talent tree boasts not only impressive sustained damage element but also some really impressive high burst damage capabilities.

Rolling a Fire Mage, however, comes with a price. Although this talent tree comes with good mana management, the talents in here usually require more mana than the Mage actually has. As a Fire Mage, you should always be mindful of your mana.

{Frost}

The Frost Mages offer the best of both Fire and Arcane Mages. They can dish out damage not as good as Fire mages although better than what the Arcane mages can dish out. In addition, Frost Mages are also better then Fire in terms of mana regeneration but are not as effective as the Arcane Mages.

Mage talents from each of the trees are often complimented by those found in other trees. Although it is not a bad idea to combine the various talents from all trees to create a powerful Mage.
