, more and more people are dealing with these awful pests. In most cases, you will realize that you have bugs in your bed because you will start getting bites on your back, neck, shoulders, and other areas of your body.

It may start off as a few innocent bites, but you will soon notice new bites on you every day. At this point, many people start looking for this nasty pests. They may not know that they have bedbugs, but they know that something is wrong!

If you think you have a problem in your bed, here is what you need to look for. Start taking your covers and your sheets off your bed. Slowly take off one cover at a time until your mattress is exposed. Bedbugs can be as large as a large oval sized looking tick, or they can look as small as a speck of dirt in the frame of your bed. If you see what looks like black dirt in your bed, take a screwdriver and pick at it. If it starts to move, then you know you have a problem!

They like to hide on the side of the bed where your head lays down at night, so I would look there first. They also usually hide on the back side of your mattress or box spring unless the infestation has grown. For this reason, you should plan on lifting up your mattress and looking on the back side of the mattress. Look for unusual black splotches on your mattress. You might even see a live bedbug now! If you still do not see anything, take the mattress off the bed.

Now look at the box spring. Don't forget that they can be really small, so do not dismiss any spec of dirt or black dots anywhere. If you still do not see anything, flip the box spring up and look under the box spring. If they are there, there is a good chance you will find them now.

What do bed bugs look like? This is the question that millions of people are asking today. Keep looking for them even if you do not find them in your bed. Start checking under photo frames. Look around furniture. Furniture sitting right next to the bed is especially prone for an infestation. Check the bed frame very well. I find them around bed frames all of the time. Continue to look around the room to see what you can find. If you still can not find them, wake up at 3 am when they are going to be most active. Turn on the light and see if you can find them crawling around your bed.
