What do we live for? I think most of us have thought about the issue and there is no answer at all since everyone has their own understanding and values.

The most interesting debate concerning the matter I ever met is like this: do we live to eat or do we eat to live? It is interesting because you can not always pick out the right one. These two factors are just related to each other and can not be separated for discussing. Another point I want to emphasize here is that sometimes we need not be so serious on everything we encounter in our life. Just follow your heart and enjoy the happiness you get from these experiences. That is the true meaning of life.

Yes, we are born to enjoy our rights of being happy. Life is so short that there is no extra time for you to complain and to be depressed. No matter what kind of experiences life has gave you or will give you, you need to face them bravely and take the advantage of the lesson you have learnt from these precious experiences.

A main factor which makes people unhappy is that they can not always get what they want in their life. As a result, they feel painful, and they can not understand why the world is so unfair to them. However, they keep fancying these which can not be possibly obtained. Actually, learn to give up is also an important philosophy and beauty in life. Only when you give up, can you have the chance to head for the next new opportunity. If you really understand this and also give it a try, then you can notice that there are so many other things which need our attention and care. You will even feel regret for wasting so much time in chasing after these impossible things before. Then a magic feeling will catch you, that is the happiness. Yes indeed, happiness is just so simple but as well as some kind of complicated.

We are living also for responsibility. God makes everyone into this world just to realize his own responsibility. Everyone is the unique being in the world and no one is ought to be replaced by anyone else. So, he should do what he is supposed to do in his own position. For example, the responsibility of the doctor is to try his best to heal as many patients as possible; the responsibility of the teacher is to guide his students towards the right way of their life; the responsibility of the father is to love his family and give them a warm home...

Speaking of father, I want to say something more about this topic. Every father is the support of their family for they have so much responsibility bearing on their shoulder. They need to make money to keep the running of the house and they also need to make important decisions for the big events happened to the family. We all know that Chairman Mao had the habit of smoking when he faced pressure or difficulties. This is the same case with most of the fathers. They need sometimes relax themselves and smoking is the good choice. They are aware of the harm smoking can bring to them, but they just cannot stop it since it has become an inseparable part of their daily life.
