What Effect Does Where I Live Have On My Chances Of Getting Liposuction?

Studies have shown that a person's primary place of residence and the surrounding

areas has a cultural effect on what type of cosmetic surgery, if any, they are more likely to want. It certainly is an interesting concept, since this could be a new way of measuring cultural influences and the way some areas of the country determine what is "beauty" and what is not but statistics should always be considered carefully before being thought of as common knowledge or state of fact.

Apparently, statistics show that you are more likely to want and get liposuction done if you live in the Southern region of the United States. Here, the emphasis is apparently placed most on slimming down your figure and being thought of as beautiful corresponds to being very slim.

In the coastal, southeastern region of the United States, studies have shown that more and more women ask for a buttock enhancement. This has been attributed to the heavy Latino influence on this area's culture and how in South America, women with some serious curves are thought of as beautiful and healthy.

If you live on either coast, you are apparently more likely to get a nose job. One source is quoted as saying the audience for cosmetic surgeries are growing increasingly younger as well; especially or this type of surgery as it is less risk than liposuction could be. Nowadays, high school students parade the fact that their parents can afford to allow them the luxury of having their nose worked on.

All in all, these statistics still show that no matter where you reside, cosmetic surgery including liposuction is always growing in popularity and assimilating into a spot on the "everyday" shelf of our culture. We define beauty not simply by how people grow up but how much they are able to adjust themselves. Being able to afford things like liposuction and other surgeries, especially in this hard economic climate shows that you not only recognize what our culture identifies as beauty but you are also fortunately wealthy enough to afford to have whatever procedure you prefer done--for you and your children.

It's an interesting world we live in with an interesting culture. If you are considering a cosmetic procedure it surely doesn't mean you are a statistic or that you have body issues or perceive beauty in a way that is not normal. If these new studies show anything, it is obvious they show that more and more people, celebrity, incredibly wealthy and the everyday person are all getting something done. It's a new way of life that is increasing in popularity and very soon will probably be "the norm" in our society. Liposuction no longer needs to be taboo, it's normal!
