In the year of 1691, a lone man sets out to rid Transylvania of the legendary Count Dracula. We all know he managed to accomplish this feat, but that never actually stopped Dracula from coming back. So now, we have to ask the question

What IF Dracula Was Slain For Good by Simon Belmont, Never to be Revived Again? THEN...

The Belmont clan would have been local heroes for destroying the vampire lord. Simon would have probably gained control of land as payment for his success. Women, and possibly their fathers, would come from miles around in hopes of marrying into the Belmont name. Of course, this might have happened when Dracula was able to be resurrected too. But villagers would be quick to forget how much they owe to the Belmont clan around the times Dracula came back.

Honey, I can't get up to feed the turkeys. Can you?

After Simon's victory, he returns home in a slightly injured and tired state. A local farm girl offers to nurse him back to health and in the process, they fall in love. Simon, letting the fame of being the one to kill Dracula, lives a life of ease with the farm girl whom he marries. As the years go on, the once agile vampire hunter has turned into a coach potato... Who makes his wife tend to the house, children, and turkeys. Yes, he became addicted to turkeys from all the turkey meat Dracula had lying around in his castle.

What a horrible night to have a curse...

Even though this was revealed in the second Castlevania game, we learn that Dracula (before he is killed) places a curse on Simon. One that gives him little time to live unless he wants to hunt for the pieces of Dracula's body and revive the vampire lord to end it. Now some might think that if Dracula couldn't be revived, why would he place a curse like this on Simon? I'm sure the curse wouldn't be exactly the same as the one he used. But it would be fitting to be able to curse the one who is ultimately going to kill you.

Alu-who? Never heard of the guy.

Coming from the viewpoint of if Konami never made another Castlevania game, we would have missed out on a lot of great classics. Simon's Quest offered us gamers an open world environment where the time would change from a somewhat peaceful day to a frightening nighttime where monsters are more powerful. Symphony of the Night, released on the Sega Saturn and Playstation, added RPG traits to the Castlevania series not seen since Simon's Quest. Many games released after this sought after classic draw from the many features it offered in its day.
