If you do not like the taste of milk, simply take a pill of calcium instead. Of course, taking a pill is as effective as the real deal. Some people pop a sleeping into their mouths before sleeping. This is the easiest way to induce sleep. However, it is not healthy in the end. Sleeping pills are drugs that have side effects. Hence, the appropriate health authorities control this medicine.
Therefore, taking drinks like tea or coffee after 6pm or so in the evening is not advisable. Some people find it easier to sleep after drinking a glass of milk. Milk contains calcium and magnesium. Calcium is said to induce good sleep. Of course, it is important to drink fresh milk, not processed low fat milk or whatever.
You would feel much calmer and more prepared to face the tensions of the day. Practicing in the mornings might be a better method since you have the whole day to get through. If you are too lazy to get up for some reason or another, simply spend some minutes to mediate or practice yoga in the evenings. After feeling calmer and relaxed, it will be easier for you to sleep at night.
You do not have to worry about side effects though. Some herbal preparations should be should taken in certain doses or they could turn poisonous. That is not the case with chamomile tea. It is easy to prepare as well. Simply pour boiling water over a bag of chamomile tea and a little bit of honey if you want.
Another proven sleeping aid is chamomile tea. This herbal tea is famous for helping those who have sleeping problems. Chamomile tea with some honey is more effective than merely chamomile tea. Just drink a cup of chamomile half an hour to one hour before going to sleep.
Doing yoga especially in the morning calms the mind and improves your health. So, you may end up feeling calm and relaxed throughout the whole day. With less tension in your life, you may end up sleeping peacefully at night after a day of working hard.
