Some are portable and can be brought anywhere, and portable ones are the preferred type of drafting tables for those who are always engaged in field work and are always on the go. They have already been proven to really be able to help draftsmen perfect their crafts and, at the same time, make it easier, that is, in a different manner that drafting software can.

Some people compare drafting tables and drafting software and say that the one is better than the other and vice versa. However, it is not really right to compare both since both are way different and, also, have different functions and uses for artists. Instead of comparing them, they should be made to work in harmony.

If you are a draftsman always needing to do field work, your drafts would more or less be done on portable drafting tables. Of course, making sure that your drafting tables suit your need should be on top of your priority when buying them. You would also more or less be inclined to want another drafting table that is more sturdy and less portable but can house your drafting tools, like your rulers, triangles, t-squares, and the like. You would also want it to have a built-in lighting to make tracing and the like easier. You might also want it to have an extension to place your computer on so that you can easily access your various drafting software to be able to really do all the finishing touches to make sure that your outputs are great.
