Sometimes it can be really difficult when you are deciding to purchase a gitd for a couple who are getting married
. Probably the most difficult to buy for our couples who have lived together for a long time and have now decided to tie the knot. The reason I say this is that they have probably acquired lots of items over the years that many young couples only starting out simply do not have. If you are purchasing for a young couple only starting out of band this is completely different because most of the time they need everything and I mean everything in a nice way. Young couples who may be just moving into a new home will require lots of things to live their life. Depending on how close you are to these people I would always suggest asking what do they need. It's a really good approach that works but it's not suitable for everyone.
If you are very close to the couple getting married and maybe an idea to visit their home before the wedding as you may get some ideas. If you visit them regularly I'm sure you know what they like and what they don't like. Take some time to have a look at the style and design of each room you may come up with an idea that you think they will like.
An idea I came across recently that a friend of mine almost to purchase something for the wedding ceremony itself. This was a novel idea and something that I have not come across before, this is just the bride and groom that they would make a contribution to the flowers in the church and the couple were only too happy with this. They also purchased the ring cushion which had their names inscribed on it. This is something that they will look at over the years every now and again and especially remember when they look at photographs from the wedding ceremony. It's a nice gift and a really novel idea and I think for many couples especially who have been together for a long time they might want something like this that is special and something that they will remember forever.
Another idea I came across was wedding cake topper's which can be made in the characters similar to what the couple like and do. One such example was a hockey couple and their characters on top of the wedding cake and hockey sticks and all the team gear. It's a very novel and unique wedding gift idea.
Some couples preferred that you purchase gift certificates and even some prepare cash. It's really up to you what to decide to do but it's also a nice idea to as the couple is there something that they would particularly like. Cash can really help them pay for the wedding but it does not give them memories that they can look back in years to come
