The second factor is the weight of the package. We usually advise clients to weigh themselves first on the bathroom scale and then weigh again while carrying the package. Subtract the difference, and that is the poundage. You will get a more accurate quote this way.

Now, because you chose a courier for medical specimens and facilities, it is time to consider: what is your medical shipment going to consist of? Some pharmaceuticals, uniforms and equipment can be shipped in regular vans and delivery conveyances; however, blood, plasma, skin and tissue samples and forensic evidence all must travel in a refrigerated van. It is more expensive, but it gives you a specially trained driver, a pre set route and a swift, safe delivery.

It is always more costly to get all these elements into play, in addition to a larger delivery van or truck to satisfy a special need (such as medical supplies delivered in a timely manner). Lift gates, flat bed trailers and seaside shipping will raise your prices, but also raise your guarantees and your work to shipment ratio.
