What Would Be Your Perfect Dining Chair?

Imagine your perfect dining room, would it be dark and cosy or bright modern and uncluttered

. What about the table, what kind would be your ideal? Then theres a dining chair what would you see if they were around youre perfect table. Of course many things come into choosing a dining room chair but the dcor and the overall look of a room will dictate in some way what you choose. If you have antique or reproduction furniture in your dining room then an unusual fur covered shoe style dining room chair will look a bit out of place. Of course if you want totally individual then theres no reason you cant have those two things together.

Personal style and even personality comes into what we do with our homes and at the end of the day we are all individuals with unique taste. Your home itself will also lead you towards what would be ideal in a dining room or kitchen. If you have very modern bright red gloss finished units then an ornate dark wood table would probably not be something you chose! A modern kitchen/diner would need complimentary furniture so that may be a glass table with maybe a leather dining chair in a colour to match the units.

Many people when they entertain a lot like a more formal dining space with more traditional furniture. There are plenty tables and dining room chair styles to choose from so whatever look you want to go for then do it. Be imaginative with your dining space, dont be the same as everyone else. Mix and match your chairs and table to give a less structured look. If comfort and long after dinner conversation is what you want then highly padded chairs will probably be a must. Even if you have a tiny space for a table and chairs then there will be compact designs to fit. How romantic would just a table for two be in your home?

If you eat around the kitchen table then choosing your dining chair style for there will be different to choosing a chair for a separate dining room. Kitchens get hot, damp and obviously cooking smells get into the air, a highly expensive leather dining room chair may look good but is it really suitable for such conditions. In a kitchen a chair that is easily cleaned or maintained will be best. All furniture takes general knocks and bumps but if you have a big dog and a couple of kids then the furniture needs to be far more hard wearing. Solid oak could be an ideal choice as its a harder wood that needs no special care. A solid oak dining chair can be dressed with a seat cushion or there are padded versions that may fit the bill.

If you dine or eat in a conservatory then there are certain other things to take into account. Conservatories do get a lot of bright sun during the year and you either need to protect your table and chairs against that or buy something that wont be damaged by it. Imagine your prize oak dining table with a sun-bleached mark on it, or a bright red leather dining chair with a sun-bleached streak you cant hide. Whilst there is quite a lot to consider with your dining furniture there is one thing for sure, you will have fun choosing it and lots of happy times using it.
