The webmaster then will browse the similar sites for few seconds which is somewhere around 15-20 seconds. This will be credited either in virtual cash or points. In return the marketers/webmaster will buy the similar page-views for his site. Thus, this could be said to be a platform where all webmasters will come along, share their websites to get few visit. There are different ways in these Traffic Exchange programs work but mostly it is you earn credit and point for visiting other sites and then buy visit for your site. Thus, there could be some possibility of other affiliates/marketers or webmaster's linking to other site, subscribing to news letter etc. Most of these traffic exchanges are free; however they will have different upgrade plans depending on the amount the webmasters are ready to invest for buying different types of visit.

So Are these traffic Exchange worth investing time on??

This could be controversial question to answer. Most of the marketers try to advertise their products to like-minded marketers, affiliates and webmasters. The Bounce rate can negatively effect the ranking of the site in Google search engine or any other search-engines. Bounce rate means the average of time spent by the visitors on any webpage. If this average is low, that obviously mean that people are not interested to visit the site, hence the page ranking will be low. So, the marketers/webmasters/affiliate must be careful while choosing the traffic engines.

Also if your idea is to earn money by using Google Adsense, then it is best advised not to use the traffic exchange programs in the webpage, blog where Adsense ads appear. The best way would be to have a sister website and drive the traffic there from traffic exchange and link this site to the main website. Or else, the marketers can design splash pages that will drive them to actual website.

I prefer to use the traffic exchange to earn more referrals for my get paid to click programs, and other small online money making sites. However, if you think you can make huge profit and income with the use of traffic exchange that might bring dissatisfaction in the longer run.
