Call the hotel directly. Comparing to option 1, option 2 is less affective, their travel agent has more interesting hotel rates even to compare with walk-in guess to the hotel.
Check What are the Hotel Rates in Bali using hotel search engine. You can always get the automatic discounted rates just from the comfort of your room. This option is very convenience as it checked all the hotel network for the best rate.
