First of all, you should know the normal low-cholesterol and low-fat diet will not produce these low levels in normal individual. Hyperthyroidism and liver disease are just a couple conditions that can affect the cholesterol level, often making them low enough to cause further problems. Although there are no specific studies to state the fact, many believe that cholesterol levels can affect someone's overall health.
The level of cholesterol in the body should be less than 200mg/dL. The LDL cholesterol level should be around half that of the total level. There are a couple symptoms that point to cholesterol levels being too low. Lose of appetite and weight lose is just a couple of signs that the cholesterol levels in the body may need checked.
Your doctor can check you for hidden cancer, alcohol addiction, drugs or cigarettes or any emotional disorder if cholesterol level in your blood is too low. Cholesterol has main role brain fluid structure. Nearly 20% of your brain consists of cholesterol. Low cholesterol levels in your body may result in violent behavior or suicide.
In 2000, the drug approved for reducing the cholesterol levels was withdrawn from market. It was found that it increased gallstones incidents, liver disease, cancer as well as pancreatitis.
