What is the Point of Doing the EzineArticles Challenge

At first when I started this, I missed the beginning of the challenge so I was always 30 days behind, which created a real sense of having to catch up. Anyway, once I got started, I was interested to see the way in which my article writing skills developed over the period of time, and I pretty much found that by the end of the challenge I was able to write 400 words about pretty much anything!

There are a number of tools which I have began to use to improve the accuracy of the articles, including Google's definition search, which generates a search for the definition of a word or a phrase. I found this to be very useful to base the first part of an article around the specific meaning of a phrase.

I then began to find that the writing part of the process was quite therapeutic, as it was a period of time every day, which I was completely focused on something without any interruptions. This really helped me take my mind off the stresses and strains of life!

After running out of ideas several times, I then really wanted to use the articles as a way of expressing myself, which I find that sometimes I am able to do, and on other occasions I do not manage this as successfully. It really depends on the mood that I am in when I start to write the article.

So I have made very good strides, and I have genuinely found this to be a rewarding experience. One which I have set myself a challenge, prepared for it, and then gone on to achieve it. It is certainly an experience that I would look to achieve next year as well.

Also, the metrics which the process has developed are pretty good as well. I now know exactly what click through rates you can expect from articles, and also what types of articles convert the best, so from that perspective the challenge has definitely been worthwhile. Plus the number of backlinks which doing the challenge has developed has been very good for the ranking of various websites which I have pointed the links to!
