Whats The Best Way To Find A Russian Bride?
I have been counseling men and helping them to search for their foreign brides for
almost a decade now and no matter how many different slants I see on the whole Russian Bride scenario, correspondence, chat, socials, etc, the song remains the same. The best way to find your Russian Bride is to visit reputable, legitimate and recommended local agencies in the Former Soviet Union. That being said, its not exactly that simple either.
Correspondence is simply a crapshoot at best. Chat is really just the new 900 number for foreign dating. Socials are just a breeding ground for opportunists that dont mind getting their hands dirty in person. Websites that utilize these methods simply provide those with less than honorable motives a vehicle to rob men not only of their money, but of their hopes, dreams and self respect as well. Conversely, they prevent many women that are genuinely trying to find a foreign husband from doing so as well. After experiencing these things, most men and women, not realizing that there is a better and more efficient way, simply give up and go on about their lives. Are these sites the driving force behind this problem?
I wouldnt say that they are the driving force, but they certainly are not doing anything significant to protect either party from harm. Its like I have always said, If there is a way to manipulate the system, someone will find it and manipulate it. After years and years of taking clients to the Former Soviet Union and trying to help them meet the ladies to whom they have written and with whom they have chatted I have formed an opinion about why things are the way that they are. Its no shocker or revelation. It all comes down to money.
This is my theory; you see the problem is that in the beginning of the internet, finding a Russian Brides on line was probably much more innocent and straight forward, in the same way that credit card purchases on the internet were. In the beginning all the checks and balances that would be needed in the future to prevent fraud, theft etc, were simply not conceived of. I am sure that the first time some unsuspecting shopper had his bank account emptied by a hacker was when the credit card processing companies scratched their heads and said, Hmmm, this might be a problem. Today, there is still no real way to safeguard you from a real on-line criminal. The banks and credit card companies act in a reactive fashion. You get your money back and the banks are insured. Everybody is happy right? Not really. The real problem still exists and if it happens to you, at least initially, the fact that you will eventually get your money back is no real comfort. The same is true here. After a period of time these sites were making so much money that they didnt want to upset the applecart so to speak. Men began to get ripped off, but still nothing really changed. It is probably more cost effective to deal with these events on an individual basis than it is to revamp a 15+ year old system that is making them money hand over fist. Even today you can write or chat on one of these sites and an experienced user like myself that knows what to look for can easily identify a fraudulent or at least flippant situation with most of the ladies that he writes or chats with. Every now and again a sincere lady will emerge, but it happens too seldom to merit serious consideration.
I have talked with many ladies that have worked with some of the largest correspondence/ chat sites on the Internet today. Some of them have even worked for me. I know how all biggest and most popular sites work and what their rules are. One only has to read to rules that govern the so-called agencies that populate the pages of the largest sites going to understand that they dont really care whether or not a man and woman actually meet in person. In fact, it is my opinion that they consider it a necessary evil. They simply penalize agencies in a reactive fashion for any impropriety and move on. No real punishment is dealt out and the agencies know this. Thusly, if you use one of these sites and you are serious in your quest you are likely to be disappointed.
Does that mean that no one ever finds their foreign mate on these sites? No. People also get struck by lightning or win the lottery sometime. What I am saying is that all of these methods are iffy at best. While there are some honest ladies and agencies on these sites, how can you find them? Answer: It Aint Easy! They all have you searching for a needle in a haystack and perpetuate the misconception that this is an easy task when it is anything but. Men choose ladies based on enhanced photos, profiles, letters that may or may not be written by the lady in the profile, chats in which many ladies are being compensated to be there and unscreened, ineffective socials in which guys are going by looks alone. These are not choices; they are a lack of options. Thats all we see on the internet, its the norm. So how do we know any better? After dealing with these sites, their agencies and their ladies on behalf of my clients, it is my educated guess that roughly 95% of all the women listed on these sites are either: A) not really interested in the idea of finding a foreign husband, B) simply fooling around, C) lending their pictures to a photo agency that gives them a free modeling portfolio in exchange D) being compensated to correspond, chat or even go dates. In my tenure I have seen all of the above multiple times. Sometimes it an unscrupulous agency, sometimes its a devious lady or sometimes its a combination of both. They really have no one to answer to so, Why Not?
Also, its hard to blame the girls that choose to do this from a financial standpoint. Girls that you see regularly chatting on-line are making much more money than they could waitressing, hairdressing etc, and they dont have to take their clothes off to do it. They answer ads in the paper that advertise for ladies to correspond and chat with lonely foreigners. Yes, agencies advertise this as a job. I have seen many instances of this in local papers while over there. The girls are told that no one really gets hurt. That it is a fantasy situation. Many will start and eventually quit because they start feeling guilty. However, many more will get a taste of the money and the rest is history. Most of these agencies will tell you it a victimless crime so as long as no one gets hurt, whats the harm? They view it from the fact that most men are using these methods as a fantasy and they will never really come over looking for the lady in question, so, if he is just having fun and she is just having fun, no harm no foul, correct? Not correct.
Thousands of men travel to the former Soviet Union each year trying to find the lady in the profile. Most will fail to ever even meet her. Worse yet, some of them will! I have talked to hundreds of men that have been put through the ringer by a pretty lady and/or her agency. It happens over and over again. I have also talked with many more women that have been promised the world by a man that never showed up.
So we are back to the most effective method, local agencies. But not so fast. Not just any local agency will do. Many local agencies will accept in-person clients, but many more dont even accept in-person meetings. Some websites will give you the information of the agencies that populate their sites. Case in point, in September of 2008 I took a client to Ukraine. He was given 12 agency phone numbers for a site that he was frequenting. While we were there I contacted all 12. 6 of them agreed to meet with us. 3 of the other 6 blocked my phone number after the first call and the other 3 either didnt answer or didnt answer a second call. Of the six that we visited only 1 was legitimate and without problems. The other 5 all had some kind of problem; the girl he was writing suddenly left town, one girls father died, another agency claimed that the girl was not a member of their agency, even though we saw her picture on the wall, etc, etc, etc. They all acted like it was no big deal that this poor guy had come all the way to Ukraine to meet the ladies to whom he had written. That was an HP (his problem), not a TP (their problem). And as usual, even with the legitimate agency, service was nonexistent. It was only after I took him to agencies that I knew to be honest and reputable, that were required to perform to our level of service that he began to see the difference in quality and efficiency. It has been my experience that there are only a handful of agencies in each area that are real and legitimately working as a true marriage agency. Luckily we know who these agencies are. We only work with real marriage agencies that are recommended to us by other agencies and former clients. All agencies must be able to meet a strict list of criteria in order to become part of our program. Those that are simply trying to make money through correspondence, chat, etc, will immediately be disqualified because they cant meet our requirements. Because of the way our system is set up they cant make money easily. They actually have to perform a real and tangible service. We are not the path of least resistance for them so they dont even bother trying to join our program. The ladies of the agencies in our program understand from the very beginning that there will be consequences to them personally for any impropriety so we have had almost no problems, save one or two in the past 9+ years. Our rules and requirements must be met up front so we act in a proactive fashion, weeding out potential problems before they become such.
