Most of the time the only question to be answered when making a claim is if a worker can prove that he or she was subject to the negligence of the company, that he or she was deliberately not given protection from the drastic effects of working in a certain environment that can affect ones hearing. Most employees will be given ear protectors to protect the ears from loud noises at the work location; when a company fails to do this and other safety precautions to avoid hearing loss then this could be grounds for requesting for industrial deafness compensation.

The exact amount will depend on the current situation of the employee. There will be a different amount for cases wherein of both ears are affected and if only one ear is affected. There is also a different amount for other conditions such as tinnitus.
