You thought you had found the man of your dreams and now he is telling you he needs a time out. You are stunned and you want to cry and ask him what the problem is. But if you let him see any weakness, you might lose him for good. Instead of crying and begging, this fast action will change his mind immediately.

Your boyfriend feels he is in control of the situation and he is expecting you to beg him to change his mind. After all, he has had time to plan what he is doing and you are caught by surprise. But, some how you need to summon up the strength to take the control away from him. This is a crucial time and if you expect to have a future with him, you have to take a stand now.

This might be the hardest thing you will ever be called on to do, but it might be the most important too. You have to put a smile on your face and tell him you agree. Say that you have been wanting some time to yourself too. Then get him out the door before you fall apart. Watch him as he goes stumbling away in a daze. When you see that he is gone, you can let it all out. Throw yourself on your bed and kick, scream and cry as much as you want to. Be seen having fun and flirting with some of the guys.

Then you need to disappear. Take a trip and visit relative or just stay out of sight. This will make your ex boyfriend think you might be with some other guy and he will regret ever telling you he needed a time out. Your actions are showing him that you intend to give him more of a time out than he expected. Soon, he will realize how much he loves and misses you.
