Rummaging through the pile of t-shirts Kaiel began to feel disheartened. Picking up t-shirt after t-shirt they were all for girls and this was now the last shop he could try. His mum stood patiently in the foreground chatting to the shop assistant whilst she waited.

Clasping his hand around what felt like a protruding logo he pulled it upwards through the pile. Unfurling it, he smiled in disbelief as the cartoon on the t-shirt seemed to smile back at him. "Mum I've found one" he shouted eagerly.

Taking the t-shirt from him she looked at him lovingly, he was such a sweet little thing and so polite for a ten-year old.

After an eventful day Kaiel went to bed early. Putting the t-shirt on over his pyjamas he snuggled up and dreamed of fantastic places and was accompanied by the very same character who was portrayed on his t-shirt. Imagine his surprise when he awoke to find that a cute, blue, bunny-like character with huge floppy ears was stood over him smiling profoundly.

"Hi my name's Max" the cute cartoon said enthusiastically. "Erm, Kaiel, my name's Kaiel". "Nice to meet you Kaiel, want to go on an adventure"? Still shocked Kaiel managed to mumble "Sure".

Muttering some words that Kaiel could not make out Max caused a portal to appear in the middle of the bedroom. Taking Kaiel's hand Max guided him to the portal.

A light, fuzzy feeling ensued when they were in the portal and things seemed to blur around them. Reaching the end they jumped out and were in a beautiful field surrounded by trees and plants that Kaiel did not recognise, they were nothing like the ones he had seen in the garden.

Keeping hold of his hand Max calmly told him where they were and explained that he had taken him to the age of the dinosaurs so that he could learn while having a fun adventure. Kaiel reeled in shock at the thought of being chased or eaten by a dinosaur.

Seeing his concern Max laughed profusely and assured him that whilst they could interact and learn from the experience that no residents of the times they visited could hurt or see them. They were merely there to watch and learn. Reassured by Sam's words they left the vicinity of the portal and started to explore.

There was only one dinosaur that Kaiel really wanted to see and that was the fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex. Pointing in the distance Max showed him where they would need to go to see one and they headed off in that direction.

Hearing a screech they averted their eyes above them to see a Pterodactyl flying gracefully above. Max informed Kaiel that in the twentieth century palaeontologists referred to Pterodactyls not as dinosaurs but as flying reptiles and they were carnivores which meant they ate meat.

Looking in awe Kaiel gazed at the amazing creature flying above him and noticed how it's amazing wingspan almost blocked out the sun as it was that expanse.
