Where Drupal Development Originated From

There is a free and open source content management system (CMS) called drupal development

. It is coded in PHP and distributed through a normal public license. Roughly a minimum of less than two percent of website throughout the world will use this system as a back end. These websites can be anything from government, corporate businesses or even a rather small blog site. Another use for this is business collaboration and knowledge management.

There are different ways for the installation to be utilized. Some of these are brochure ware website, Internet forums, either single or multi-user blogs or community website.

In order to change and extend the core capabilities on this application there will be greater than fifty eight thousand different free community modules you can choose from. Other things that can be changed will be the behavior and appearance. This is known as content management framework because it has a plug in extensibility. This can be called a web application framework. It would have passed certain standards that would be required for these frameworks.

If a computer platform supports a web server and database then the application will be able to run. Some examples for databases is MySQL and PostgreSQL. The examples for web servers are PHP four point four point zero plus and this normally includes nginx, apache, lighttpd and IIS.

Dries Buytaert originally wrote it like a message board. It was then made an open source project in two thousand and one. The name originated from Dutch and the word actually was druppel that means drop (like a drop of water).

Buytaert wanted to name it dorp, which is Dutch for village. This had to do with the applications community prospects. It is called drupal development as there was a typing mistake made when they checked for the domain name.
