Within India, there are several places where we can find Bengal tigers. The country protects the endangered tigers as a national policy.

Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve This place is found in Madhya Pradesh in the Vindhya Hills, Bandhavgarh. It covers 32 hills of forestry and a wide stretch of grassland and bamboo groves. The place is known for its collection of Bengal tigers. The tigers are seen roaming the safe and secluded reserve. Apart from the Bengal tigers, there are other wild animals inhabiting the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.

Kanha Tiger Reserve The Kanha National Park is located in Madla District. It has 1,945 square kilometers of trees, bamboos and green meadows, home to Bengal tigers. This place became famous because it was Rudyard Kipling's inspiration when he wrote his jungle books.

Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve This jungle is located in the border of Aravalis and Vindhyas in India. The area has gentle slopes with flat topped hills and sharp ridges. There are numerous wild animals found in the area, which is a haven for 30 different species of mammals, 272 species of birds and over 300 species of trees. It is a sanctuary for Bengal tigers, leopards, caracal, and other members of the cat family.

Sundarban National Park This habitat for Bengal tigers is situated along the Brahmaputra and Ganga River. The area is covered with mangrove forests, small rivers and swamps. The park, which has a total area of 1330 square meters, is host to 200 Royal Bengal tigers . There are also other kinds of tigers living in the Sundarban National Park, which has 400 tigers in all.

These places are protected from animal poaching. India is a real sanctuary for the Bengal tigers and other endangered animals.
