Sure, regular exercise is (and will always be) one of the pillars of good health. But it's not -- I repeat, it's NOT -- the best way to lose weight. In fact, if you try to exercise in conventional ways promoted by the government and these companies, you'll probably gain even more weight!
Here's why -- they tell you that the best way to lose weight is by doing cardiovascular exercises, such as jogging, biking, and sports several hours a week. But research has shown that doing several hours of cardio doesn't work -- and it actually leaves you hungrier than ever.
It's true -- the more you exercise, the more you eat. And once you stop exercising, your weight will skyrocket -- just as it has for more than two-thirds of the American population these days, obese and overweight.
Here's a little comparison -- a Big Mac with large Coke and large fries will load you with almost 1,700 calories. To burn that amount, you'll have to play full-court basketball for three hours straight. Now how much exercise do you really get?
Don't believe the government (or the fast-food restaurants) when they say people today get less exercise than before. Sure, we sit in front of the computers more. But before computers came around, we used to sit in front of the TV. Activity levels didn't drop over the past few decades -- but our intake of junk food, candy, and fast food did rise.
