Every woman has dated a b.s. artist. That's the guy who talks about his job (what a great career!) the beautiful women he's dated, all the money he makes, his amazing talents. He's a dud, almost every time.

Then there's the one who is a convicted felon, or who drinks way too much but denies it.Whatever the lie, whatever the exaggeration, it's been used on a woman on a date somewhere at some time. The same goes for women, though typically women don't feel a need to impress men.The point is, if you're honest with your date, he or she is going to know it.

Honesty is a long-lost art in today's world; people cheat, from those who find ways to improve their SAT scores to those who embezzle from international companies.For a long time, people thought those who broke the rules win, although that trend seems to be changing.Honesty in your profile and in your conversations leads your dates to the conclusion that you are honorable. There can be no more valuable commodity to you than your honor.

But honesty does not mean self-criticism. It's perfectly fine to say "curvaceous" or "Rubinesque." It sounds much better - and much more confident - than fat. There are exceptions, but in general you're trying to communicate a specific image, and in general you should match your words to that image while remaining honest.You should also avoid the too-much-too-soon. If you used to be a Mafia mistress, you don't have to put it in your profile. That's something to save for after your date gets to know you and who you really are!

With those two caveats, when your date knows you're honest and honorable, he or she will feel much safer with you. You're not going to lie to him or her; you don't have a secret wife and family, and you don't have a secret second life as a hit woman. And all you have to do to earn this trust is be honest. It's remarkably easy.
