I miss the times when I usually go out for leisure walks, the feeling of breathing in fresh air, taking in lovely sights and enjoying being in the outdoors. But I can't do those things anymore. The moment you step outside, you are greeted by the sun's scorching heat. Instead of enjoying your walk, you tend to walk faster to find refuge from the heat. Instead of stopping and appreciating little things, you turn irate and easily irritated. The heat is too much to take.

Mother Nature's wrath has finally started. We are slowly feeling her fury starting with the intense heat that seems to bite you. Especially during summer time, the heat has become too much to handle. I find it impossible to stand under the heat of the sun for five or even 3 minutes. Because of this, people have been in constant search of a shade everywhere they go. Some even avoid going out all together. If people do go out, the most common destination would be closed malls. Why? They have air conditioners.

Malls are considered a haven from heat while still having the luxury of enjoying your day. Air conditioning units help a great deal in keeping the building cool enough that people will be moved to stroll, walk and shop more. Air conditioners take in the hot air from the room, remove the heat from it and releases cool air back into the room. They keep the temperature at a level comfortable enough for the people or shoppers. Most air conditioning units, like portable air conditioners, are able to cool a small room but in malls, they use big air conditioners to support a big area. This is the reason why you are oblivious to the heat outside whenever you're inside malls. You are one of the witnesses to the wonders of air conditioning.

There is no problem with going to malls to escape the heat but we must not forget that it shouldn't stop at that. We must make amends with the environment and strive to do her good. Otherwise, we'll still be at the losing end. Our mother earth is the only one we have got.
