Why Not Invest On Iraqi Dinar?
Let us assume that you have heard a lot about Iraq and its currency
. The fraud, money laundering and bomb attacks are just some of the news that you might have heard and expected from the media. However, in every side of the story, there is always something that makes the twist and worth to catch. Do you know what that is?
Iraq is strengthening its currency and will release the much awaited new currency by the first month of 2013. Well, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq just affirmed last July 4, 2012 that Iraq will release its new currency by the first month of 2013. In other words, the government and the financial institutions are now working as one to strengthen the currency. When the new currency will be released, chances are the new currency will be welcomed and considered as one of the famous currencies in the foreign exchange market. In short, Iraq will be able to freely and openly participate in the world market without any particular restriction.
This will gradually open opportunities for Iraq. When there is opportunity, there will be jobs and when there will be jobs, more and more Iraqis will have trust and confidence on the new leaders and will be able to build their own integrity. When that time comes, revaluation will not be far behind. Well, it really takes time and optimism but, it is worth it. From the standpoint of an entrepreneur, it is better to wait on something that you know it will happen than having to wait for nothing at all. However, investing on Iraqi Dinar is still prior to the amount on what you can only afford to lose. You need to take precautionary measures because, in the first place, it is your money. Let me get it straight with you. If we are going to talk about revaluation on the currency, what we only have is a big chance and not a guarantee.
A short review
A couple of years ago, before the Gulf war, Iraqi Dinar was one of the most influential and respected currencies in the Arab world. The value of the currency only started to decline when Saddam Hussein took charge and opposed the righteous dealings of the United Nations. On late 1930s, Dinar was around $3 for 1 dinar, now it is 1182. It may give us the impression that it was unfortunate that the great Babylon was devastated but, the country is now recovering. One can even prove it when South Korea signed a $7 billion worth of housing project to Iraq. So, will you take the time to give it another chance? Will you not take the chance before your friends cash their notes in?
