Two accidents escorting to scores of mental bruises incurred over a span of twenty years in my life. Amazingly both mishaps referred to a single plight of our society after which countless times I have heard the following comment from my friends and relatives "It is better if you stay off from Pakistan". "Child, our society is like that, never dare to voice your darkest fears in this black society". Every time my questioning reply is littered with the same emotional pitch that we often use to hear in traditional movies. "Never mind; is it necessary to wear the same lawlessness that we witness in our society only because of the reason that something bad has happen to us". Obviously, this is not a solution. Every time I am criticized for having a blunt school of thought, I wonder "is this a solution to seek shelter going abroad, and if it really is, would it help us to officially and morally claim un-Pakistani'"? "Would this way we help in declaring ourselves true citizens and not aliens? Obviously not! Fellow citizens living abroad could easily figure out what emotional painstaking moments they have to bear, once they are devoid of this shelter, our mother country has upon us.

Twice, my home has been raided by dacoits, who deprived me of all my valuables. Of course, such incidents are a usual here. However, what is unusual is the answer I got after police were called. Despite the fact the dacoits were unmasked and one of them claimed to be in a hurry as according to him, he straightaway arrived from the local police station', when I suggested the constable to take finger prints I got the following answer "no need to conduct such hard work of taking out finger prints, they might be enlisted in our rolls". To my shock, shortly after the robbery, the area's SHO once met my family member and asked with innocence "have you been able to find out who were the dacoits"?

The question that still lingers in my mind, not because that after two years of learning lesson not to keep any expensive belonging with me, the same group is loitering around in my street, looting every second house, and not because that after the robbery the same old SHO with the same constables seem to appear wherever burglary occurs. But because of the fact that why we are so much deprived that we are unable to root out even the most uncomplicated and simple crimes that don't even need much investigation after getting revealed.

National Police Bureau, according to Dawn news launched "National Forensic Science Programme (NFSP) at a cost of Rs8 million, in 2006". Further it says "Pakistan established its first DNA test laboratory in Islamabad with the assistance of China to investigate complicated terrorism and criminal cases." Now, someone tells me what might be the difference between complicated and uncomplicated crimes. Street crime, robbery, mugging, and housebreaking are considered complicated' if the burglars consciously are well aware of the consequences they have to bear if they get caught. Complicated are the cases in which burglars out of fear of getting caught, wear masks and gloves, take every measure to avoid risk, and lack political backing. Forensics is needed in such cases, where criminals with utmost sophistication commit crimes, where law rules. Thousands of fellow citizens are victims of this complicated, uncomplicated crime series, where we emotionally, mentally, and even many of us physically are toyed every minute and every second of our lives, and are to live with such psychological marks for the rest of lives. Far from the forensic support, we lack honesty and morality. So, unlike civilized nations, who stress upon advanced forensics, foremost we need some lessons to at least learn how to live with moral values. This dearth might be one of the main reasons as to why we lack forensics. Every crime seems clear, every crime transparent.
