Why People Want To Fall In Love

Why People Want To Fall In Love

Sometimes it is very difficult to imagine why anyone would want to fall in love with another person

. Relationships are so often fragile and full of heartache and conflict that some say there is nothing more painful during the length of a human life.

Understanding these concepts, and many more, to be true one might ask why it is exactly that so many people hope and dream of one day finding that special someone that they can spend the rest of their lives, or perhaps many lives, with.

Though there are certainly millions of ideas about why people seek out this type of connection, from the spiritual to the scientific, the logical to the completely devoid of, most people agree that it simply makes life seem a little better.

In order to eliminate the possibility of a never ending article we will simply breakdown some of the more common and basic ideas about why people want to find love, partnership, a companion, a soul mate or another half. Though this may not help those looking for love advice, it certainly may shed some light onto why so many people seek out this complicated connection. Why People Want To Fall In Love

The Scientific:

* Some studies show that certain pheromones can cause people to feel extremely drawn to one another. This feeling is often one that makes the experience of being with that special person a euphoric experience. While from this point of view it would appear that seeking love is almost the same as seeking out some kind of drug related fix, many people agree that at times that exactly fits the bill.

* Psychological studies have shown that parts of the brain may recognize aspects of another person's brain that are not necessarily outwardly visibly. In short the general idea is that your subconscious is attracted to another individuals' and the two of you are basically just along for the ride. This theory coincides nicely with the idea that certain couples just seem destined to be together, for after all, why are the two subconscious's so well suited for one another?

* Ages ago when humans were still trying to figure out, well many of the same things that still perplex them today perhaps, survival may have been the primitive reason for love. Whether or not our ancient ancestors copied our traditional dinner and a movie scenario may be difficult to determine, however certainly we see that choosing a mate was an important issue.

This type of love seems to be wrapped around an attraction for practical reasons. Attributes such as strength and stamina might have been sought in males while a nurturing mother instinct might have been what made females the catch.

The Spiritual:

* The belief that all life is preplanned or destined encases the idea that all matchmaking is set long before each person crosses paths with their special someone. This is perhaps a favorite idea of romantics because it gives them the hope that despite the difficulties they may experience in life there exists at least one person with whom they would be able to share everything. Those who find this idea to hold true with their beliefs often seek out love in very certain terms, awaiting that one perfect match who is destined to be theirs.

* Another similar theory is that while destiny takes a hand in everyone's romantic life, a person must be on the watch for any signs that may be leading them in the right direction. This idea can be appealing because it often allows for some keen observations about what type of person might be waiting at the end of the trail.

* Those who believe that their lives are for better or worse existing because of a supreme power often believe that their love is part of a plan. Though reasons for this plan may change from culture to culture, many of them revolve around the idea of keeping the earth populated or strengthening the human race. This idea often meshes well with scientific theories that the feeling of love is simply instinct, a natural occurrence to keep the human race multiplying and ensuring the survival of the species.

The Romantics:

* Those individuals who seem to have an extra edge when it comes to expressing feeling seem to desire the idea of love perhaps more than any other group. In some cases the general idea becomes so well crafted and perfected in the mind that it would seem almost impossible that any real life relationship could exist to match it. For those hungry romantics love represents a life goal that cannot be funneled in any other direction.

* However it happens, there are certain people who just seem to have an incomplete part of who they are that seems only to repair itself when the right person comes along. Whether this is spiritual or psychological may be hard to determine, but understanding that for some life seems to be broken without that other person can certainly explain why the search for love would becomes so important.

The Influenced:

* Many societies support the idea of falling in love through traditions and customs that explain the reasons for finding that right person. It may be difficult to tell whether or not a person who was not a part of such a society might still seek out love, but certainly we know that such conditioning has an effect. Whether an age old tradition passed down through generations or simply a great deal of romantic movie watching as a child the outcome seems to leave many of those in its' reach with love on their agenda.

* A portion of the adult singles looking to find love simply believe it is a logical step in their lives and therefore may not feel as passionately as some of the other groups, but have the desire none the less. Just as with so many actions that are taken throughout the course of any given life, much of what people do is simply because it is expected. Those who believe that finding the right person to settle down with may lack the dramatics of other types, but make no mistake, the search to find that special someone is just as important.

The Purist:

* There are those individuals who do not believe in finding love that is predestined, but prefer to base their feelings on signs of attraction, both physical and mental. Though many of their ideals may fall into other more specific beliefs the general idea is to let love come as it will and if it will. One might argue that in a sense it would seem as though this again falls into the category of destiny, but unlike many of the people who believe that they are destined for love, these types don't necessarily feel certain that it will happen for them.

The appreciation for the idea of falling in love maybe more enhanced by this type than any other because they often believe that if they are lucky enough to find it, love is truly something rare and special.

The Crutch:

* As unpleasant as it may seem, there are those who see finding love as the solution to all of their problems. Unfortunately the individuals in this category are often insecure and struggling with finding solutions in their life that might make them happier people. The end result of such desperation is often that no relationship quite seems like the real love the person hoped for simply because they are not focusing on the real problem.

The Digitally Global:

* With the introduction of new forms of communication some of the more pessimistic attitudes about love are being crushed under the weight of connecting with others. New mediums such as online dating or friend finding have allowed people who might never have spoken with one another to talk for the first time. Why People Want To Fall In Love

This modern approach may be somewhat mixed in with destiny, but with a twist that no previous society (to our knowledge) experienced. The instant communication with others from around the globe has opened the door for digital romances that are sometimes formed entirely through pixels before reaching a face-to-face experience.

There is little doubt amongst those who have experienced the success of this virtual meeting of the minds that love can find a person in many different ways and comes in some pretty amazing forms.

However you believe you may find the love you hope to, there is little doubt that people who do manage to find what they've been searching for are generally the happier for it. Though there may be no idea as complex or ever changing as the idea of love, its' touch can be felt throughout every part of the world, in nearly every if not all of the ages we have experienced and perhaps ever will.
