But there are others that seem to do this on a continuous basis. When you run a background check on them, you'll be able to see the difference.

Obviously, when people are looking for a job or when they just meet you, they want to make a good first impression on you. But this doesn't necessarily mean that this is who they are. When you do some investigating, you'll be able to see a little more. Surely that will keep everyone comfortable within your company, knowing full well that they are surrounded by other upstanding citizens.

There is no reason not to investigate your existing or potential employees. It's an affordable and easy undertaking. This isn't to say that you should shun anyone who has any type of criminal record. The fact is, they have paid their dues to some extent.

Knowing what they did it help you make an educated decision on whether you want to give them an opportunity or not. It can also help you decide on the position you would like them to fill.

This way, you know everything about them, but you can also help them out to some extent, without endangering yourself, your company, or at your existing employees. If you are in a position that hires people, it is imperative that you do this necessary step.
