Despite being illegal in most states, those who wish to buy legal weed from marijuana distribution centers in those places where it is legal attest to the positive effects of cannabis. In many countries, medicinal marijuana has been approved as a method of pain control for various ailments. It is also used to destroy brain tumor cells, helping to make surgery and treatment more effective and improving the prognosis for cancer patients.

Weed contains a psychoactive chemical compound called Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, which directly affects the central nervous system. Users of weed can experience sudden mood changes, and many have described it to have a mind-altering effect. Aside from the obvious lung problems associated with smoking weed, other negative effects have made it very difficult for individuals to buy legal weed.

Because of this, many have turned to more alternative forms of herbal highs. Many weed alternatives pack the same potency as marijuana, without the complications of legality. These alternative forms of weed do not contain THC, or any other psychoactive chemicals found in Cannabis, but instead have synthetically processed chemical compounds that simulate the effects achieved by using weed. Former users and those undergoing rehabilitation have turned to this alternative in order to get that legal herbal high.
