Let's face itwe probably don't have the fondest feelings towards vacations rental homes

. It's not because they have anything wrong with them, but rather the fact that they don't seem to be the cheapest things in the world.

However, you may not realize it, but you can actually get a lot of discounts on a vacation rental home if you just know the time that you should rent.

But, even if you don't get a discount, they have quite a few perks that you definitely won't get through a hotel.

First of all, they aren't nearly as crowded. Let's face itwhen you're crammed three onto the same bed in an attempt to make enough room for everyone, someone is going to end up getting kicked onto the bed. There just isn't any way around this. With a vacation rental home, you don't end up stuck on the floor without any covers or with someone's foot in your ear. In many cases, there are enough rooms for everyone, without any stints on the floor. Not to mention that you aren't nearly as crowded as you would be in a hotel.

Then, there the food issue. You "might" end up in a hotel room that has a stove, if you ask for it. However, you also might not. Either way, you need to eat. So you can shell out ridiculous prices for a little bit of food each and every day and eat out or you can cook in the comfort of the place you're stayingwhich is easiest done right there at the vacation rental home. Sure it might seem a little farfetched, but the point is that it is a lot more convenient.

For those of you with the "Continental Breakfast" defense, think about this: You have to get up at six or seven am, with one hour, to go and get a breakfast that may cost you nothing, but everyone who has been there has gotten the opportunity to and probably has touched over half of the food (after all, a lot of choosy people are going to be going through so that they can find the best pieces, morsels, etc). You have no idea if they've washed their hands, if they just rolled out of bed and went straight downstairs to get breakfast. Chances are that they didn't and intend to go back to bed after they have eaten to crash again until a much later time.

Vacation rental homes also provide a lot more privacy. Let's face itdo you REALLY want people knocking on your door trying to get into the wrong room (on accident, of course) or to have to hide your head under your pillow in an attempt to not hear the loud pounding music that easily permeates the walls? The point isprivacy and silence is a big part of a vacation. You're there to relax, not to deal with loud noise.

These are all great reasons that you should rent a vacation rental homeyou just have to find a good one!
