Now is the time to be planning your mid-winter vacation in a tropical climate or at least a warm and sunny part of the world. There are a number of attractive winter packages being offered by resorts and hotels world wide, even in places where winter is peak tourist season. With a little shopping around, you can find some fabulous deals on luxury accommodations in some of the best tourist destinations around the world. Here are a few of the deals available this coming winter tourist season 2010.

In Hawaii, on the island of Kauai, there are a number of winter specials for those in search of a tropical sun adventure in beautiful Hawaii. Kauai Marriot Resort on Kalapaki Beach is offering "Free for Fall" packages with rooms starting at $209 a night and includes, free internet, free golf for kids and discounts on food, activities and shopping. Koa Kea Hotel & Resort is offering an "Isle See You at Poipu" promotion that includes rooms at $299 a night, a with garden-view. Rooms are normally $445 a night.

On the Big Island of Hawaii, Aston Hotels & Resorts are offering budget fall packages at many of their locations including the Aston Shores at Waikoloa from $165 a night and similar deals at Aston Waikoloa Colony Villas and Aston Kona by the Sea. Winter packages are being offered at the same resorts for slightly higher prices ($193 at Aston Shores).

In the Caribbean, Hilton hotels and resorts are offering several specials on rooms, including the "Puerto Sparkles" promotion that features discounts on rooms, dining and other services. This promotion includes rooms at the famed Caribe Hilton Vilamoura and several other Puerto Rico Hilton locations. Rooms at the Caribe start at $229 per night during the promotion, which lasts through January 31, 2011.

Hilton is also featuring winter promotions for some of its European destinations. As part of the Wine & Spa package, the tourist can enjoy fine wines and luxurious pampering in one of the spas at Hilton locations in France, Portugal, Spain and Italy. Some of the deals are excellent, for instance a stay at Vilamoura As Cascatas Hilton Resort Portugal can run as low as $100 per night.
