Winter Mahjong is a computerized Mahjong Solitaire game based on the theme of winter. The tiles and the whole look and feel of the game reflect the winter season. This game is played with tiles that are placed on a board and the main objective of the game is to remove all the tiles from the board like in other Mahjong games.
The unique aspect of this game lies in the way the tiles are placed. In this, the tiles are placed in piles i.e. they are stacked together. As you match and remove the tiles on the top, the ones placed below get exposed and then again those tiles need to be removed by matching with similar tiles. This is how the game moves on. The game is challenging and interesting and involves strategic and analytic thinking. This game also involves some luck but the player should know the right techniques to win it. In Winter Mahjong all the fun lies in eliminating all the tiles from the board within the shortest possible time to get a high score.
The classic or original Mahjong game was also played with such similar tiles but the concept of the game was entirely different. To play the Winter Mahjong game, the player needs to choose two similar Mahjong tiles and then they are eliminated from the game. In order to remove a tile at least one side of the tile must be free, either the left side or the right side and it should not have a tile placed above it. Tiles are removed by clicking on them. The main goal of the game is to clear the playing field of all tiles.
There are many levels of this game and as a player moves from one level to another the games gets more difficult and fun. There is a time limit to finish the game so the game gets over either if the allotted time gets over or the player manages to remove all the tiles from the board within the given time. This game even has an option called "Hint", if the player clicks this option the computer helps the player to decide which tile to move. As Winter Mahjong is a solitaire game only one player is required. This game is easy and can be played by anyone irrespective of age.
