As you add more computers you can continue to add more hubs and switches just to be able to access the internet or the network over the additional PCs. On the other hand, wireless communications systems in the home are much more convenient, especially when more than one person is running around the house with a laptop trying to get a connection. One should also know that wireless communications systems are considered to be less secure than that. Because the signal travels through the air, they can be intercepted very easily compared to a wired network setup. Also with new standards coming out for wifi every now and then, hardware prices for signal distribution are continuing to drop. The installation of wireless communications systems is easier because there are no wires to mess with on the network.
