Before making it big in the U.S., Guetta was an underground DJ in France and emerged into the mainstream in Europe with his sophomore album Guetta Blaster.

His next album, PopLife, did finally get some attention in the U.S., yet some of the reviews

back in Europe were less than shimmering, with one critic calling him tired.

When Guetta did hit it big in the U.S., he made in on the cover of Billboard magazine, which Guetta himself claim in interviews was even more exciting than the prospective of winning a Grammy. It is said that Guetta finally introduced DJ music culture into the U.S.

Guettas music clips on Youtube have garnered over 70 million views, making him the most watched electronica artist on Youtube currently. One of his songs, which featured Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, gained more than one million hits within the first two days of being posted on Youtube.
