Worms In Dog Stool And Dog Worms Equal Bad For Rover
Worms in dog stool is a sure sign of dog worms
. Doesn't take a real brain to figure that one out. Does it?
Now old Luther has a jam up dog. Truly man's best friend.
Luther drank a little too much corn juice one night and dropped his pipe in the floor. A few newspapers were laying around and sure enough, smoldering to roaring blaze in a matter of minutes.
Good ole rover came to his rescue. Grabbed him by the arm and pretty much drug him out of the house. Single pawed.
Now this seems like a common scenario but in reality an investigation was necessary.
First off. Those newspapers laying on the floor gave it away. You see,Luther is a man that can work with his hands. He can figure out almost any problem with a heaping double dose of common sense.
The one thing that raised suspicion. Luther never was much on schooling. He never did learn how to read. The local paper does not have enough pictures to warrant him buying one.
The second thing that needed investigating. When Luther was being half way drug out of the house, he got some goo between his toes.
That goo was a product of Rover's excitement.
Little white objects in the goo soon were realized as worms in dog stool. Rover had dog worms.
Luther's girlfriend Bessy May was a main suspect in the fire investigation. Rover was the main suspect in the goo between the toes investigation.
Now Bessie May was cleared as Luther's wife Sally Jean more or less told on herself when she threw a whipping on Bessie May the whole county will talk about for weeks.
She screamed to the top of her lungs that she would have never burned the living room if she had not thought that they were not both in the room.
Now Rover needed a trip to the vet.
Old Doc McCallister is the local vet / people doctor in our area. He has been known to deliver a baby, cure lumbago, and hoof and mouth infliction in the same day. Yes sir old Doc is a good one.
He started out doctoring Luther for third degree burns on his feet and minor smoke inhalation. Then he turned his doctoring skills to rover.
Luther told him that there was grubs in his poop. Doc ciphered that to mean worms in dog stool. It was his medical opinion that Rover had dog worms.
He gave Rover some medication and Luther some advice.
He said not to be throwing the fat back that had went bad in the back yard. That flies were blowing the fat back and Rover was eating it. Therefore the reason for the grubs in the poop.
Now you don't actually have to be feeding your dog bad fat back for him to have worms.
Old Doc said that dogs got the worms from several sources. said with all the warm weather and extra rain we been getting, mosquito laid their eggs in the standing pools and that worms could be easily transmitted that way also.
Even said Rover could get them from other dogs.
One thing is for sure. If you see worms in dog stool, there is a good chance the dog leaving it behind has dog worms.
