Would You Go To A Doctor Without A College Degree?

The Simpson's a show which has been on for 20 years

. There's a doctor on the show his name is Dr. Nick Riviera, M.D.

There was an episode in which Homer had a heart attack which was caused by Mr Burns. They couldn't afford the $30,000 triple bypass surgery, so they went to Dr. Nick which only charged them $129.95 for the surgery. Now as you would imagine that's a big drop in price and very cheap. But as you all know sometimes you get what you pay for.

When the surgery started the doctor couldn't remember where to make the incision to begin the heart surgery. He thought back to his college days which was shown in a flashback, and he was shown drinking and partying not going to and paying much attention in class.

It wasn't until Lisa Simpson told him where to make the incision to start the surgery that he remembered and luckily the surgery went off well.

Now my question is would you go to a doctor like this, who didn't know what he was doing more importantly put your life in his hands? Would you take advice from this kind of doctor? I'm guessing the answer is no.

Now I know you are asking what does this have to do with network marketing, well a lot.

People seem to want to discuss their new found business venture with their friends, family, and whoever else they may come in contact with. They are very excited and share the business with everyone. But the problem is they are not qualified or excited as you are about your business. So they are not qualified to give you business advice because they have not been in business for themselves and have an employee mindset. And like Dr Nick some of them may have been to college but they still are not qualified because they have never been in business.

After talking to them you then you realize they are telling you how dumb your business is, how you're not going to make any money, and they would never join anything like that and are telling you to go and get a "job". Just like Mr. Burns they are giving you a heart attack about your business and just like Homer you seeked advice from a bad source and people who lacked the knowledge and education about your business.

Just like you wouldn't seek advice from a bad doctor why would you seek advice from others who don't want to and have never been in business?

Instead of seeking advice from them wouldn't it make sense to seek advice from those who are in business, who have what you want and who are successful in what you are doing?

Surround yourself around those who want to see you succeed, been where you have been, and are going where you want to go. Forget about those who don't and you will get to where you want to be.
