Poaching developers is the latest trend wrapping up the whole tech industry. Be it Apple, Microsoft, Google or any other tech vendor; the only challenge surfacing for these is the shortage of the skilled staff; developers beib;ng the prime concern.

Is there any Skilled Developer on the ground?

Developing applications is not the cup of tea for every Tom, Dick and Harry present around. It has to be a continuous thought process, long term visioning, understanding the next on wishlist for consumers, bettering the already existing applications, and what more- developing the same in a flawless manner.

As per the latest market indications, software companies are back to hiring spree and developers are high on the wish list. In wake of leapfrogging the competition and leaving the rivals panting, the companies are ready to offer big sums as package but nothing seems to rescue these as of now. Most recently an Indian developer bagged huge annual income package from the leading social networking site, Facebook. The package is undoubtedly a topic of envy for tech vendors and is impossibly unmatchable. The money seems to be the least priority for software titans; the only concerning factor for these is the talent pool that they wish to amass at any cost.

A quick glance over the roadmap for any tech biggie can mesmerize the consumers to the best; the list is long and full of products and innovations that a consumer can only dream of. But the implementation is a challenge for vendors; absence of right talent pool further worsens the possibilities.

The Chances were never so bright:

The vendors are striving hard to carve a better future and maintain the velocity of innovations; but the challenge in shape of skill shortage is spelling the doom. On the contrary, market watchers peg it as the brightest period ever for developers where they have access to the most defining trends and future is full of learning for them. The vivid opportunities that exist today courtesy challenging environment and competition at its best were never before; developers have all what they might have dreamt of.

The exposure is immense and the prospects are varied; but missing out of the picture is the right talent; more precisely the developers who are groomed to take such challenges in their own stride. The talent hunt is on but the presence of the right flair on ground is thin and acute.

The depth of gravity:

The case depicted here is not following the whistle blowing; every survey including fact sheets from vendors are raising the concerns over the same. Illustrating the graveness of the scene is the revision of emoluments by Google and even raising the perks. The move was an attempt to withhold the staff that it was losing to Facebook; the cut throat rival of the leading search giant. Needless to mention that in recent few months, Google has lost its talented staff to Facebook; the king of innovations is losing the battleground to social networking site, which seems to be at its best now. On the contrary, stealing the talent from Facebook is a challenge in itself and if done successfully; it is a matter of pride.

The bottom line for all this ongoing hue and cry is nothing else than depicting the challenge that tech industry as a whole is fighting against. The IT industry is facing a drought which is casting gradual dearth for the innovations and is indeed killing the IT.
