X Factor's JLS Tour in 2011

Taking into account this band's notoriety and the popularity of the show, JLS tickets are sure to go quickly. Fortunately, they are now on sale. The tour starts in the famous London O2 Arena, moves to the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham next, and makes its way through many of the top arenas including Wembley Arena, the LG Arena, the Motorpoint Arena, the Odyssey Arena, and opens the new year with what is sure to be a blowout show on January 3rd at the Cardiff International Arena. JLS tickets are available at many online venues.

JLS is a multiplatinum act and is currently signed to multiple major record deals internationally. They have scored numerous number one singles on the UK charts, and are currently rocketing up the American charts as well with their lead US single "The Club is Alive."

JLS began as the brainchild of Oritse Williams, who was originally looking for musical success to help find a cure for his ailing mother, who has multiple sclerosis. After turning down numerous offers to join boy bands because he did not feel a connection, he joined up with bandmates Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, and Jonathon "JB" Gill. All members had experience in the music and television entertainment industries, and their talents meshed nicely. The act originally chose the name UFO (Unique Famous Outrageous), but finally decided on Jack the Lad Swing upon auditioning for theX Factor (the name UFO was already being used). Jack the Lad Swing is a combination of the phrase "Jack the lad" and New Jack Swing, a genre which inspired Oritse. They quickly worked their way up the hierarchy of the music industry, scoring an award for Best Unsigned Act at the Urban Music Awards in 2007.

JLS made their name on the fifth season of X Factor, showcasing their versatility and talent through a variety of songs spanning multiple genres. They came in second place, and subsequently signed with Epic Records. The band is also currently signed to Jive Records in the US.

The partnerships came to fruition when JLS came out with their multiplatinum self-titled debut album, spawning the hit singles "Beat Again" and "Everybody in Love." The record is currently platinum in both the US and the UK. Their second album, "Outta This World," showcased a more acoustic style, but still topped the charts, debuting at number 2.
