Why do they have reviews for this?
You use it to buy stuff on xbox live and possibly the zune service (not really sure on that last part), It's basically a gift certificate, so your basically buying a less useful version of cash, way to go and yes, I realize I am approaching the record for the single longest sentence ever.
House of Cards
Not sure why anyone would give this item less than 5 stars. It's a freakin points card! It's exchanging one form of currency for another form of currency, usually at a discounted rate (unless you get the instant code). Sure, you can say you hate the points system or you hate the game you bought with the points or you hate shipping fees but that has nothing to do with the actual card. It does what you expect it to do and it does it well. I actually think it's kind of cute too, especially when it's fresh out of the shipping box. Once again, it's just a card that happens to have a little strip on the back that you rip off to reveal an alphanumeric code that you enter into Xbox Live to download all sorts of wonderful goodies. Get one. Get two. Get them now!
Wasn't any cheaper.
Buying this here wasn't any cheaper than buying directly thru the x-box. Only did it this way because My router doesn't virus protect the x-box and wanted to avoid identity theft. From the reviews I read you have a 50/50 chance of getting ripped off either way. Buy it in a store if it's a reasonable price.
Points are points
4000 Xbox points on Amazon for $40 sounds pretty amazing to me. Other than that, I can't really say much else. The points worked when I added it to my Xbox live account and I bought games online with it.
not afraid
I got my points instantly. I was nervous after reading some of the scary "didn't get my points" reviewers, but I tried anyway. I followed the on screen prompts, didn't double click any buttons during my transaction, then my code was displayed on the screen. Just to be safe, I didn't close that screen until I redeemed my code on XBL. Now I just have to resist the urge to spend it all on my darn avatar :)
