A lot of people think that you make your own luck and I'm inclined to agree with them...
The thing is that near enough everything that is around us is stuff that we have attracted into our lives. This may be hard to believe if you're not as rich, wealthy and successful as you want to be but it's true. And luck is no different.
The problem most people have is that they focus on what they don't want. They put all their effort and thoughts into I don't want's rather than I do want's.
So, let's do an experiment over the next day or so and see whether it's really possible that you can make your own luck.
To do this, you're going to need to train yourself to stop moping and thinking about how unlucky you are.
Wrap an elastic band around your wrist. Every time you find yourself thinking that you're unlucky, snap the elastic band. Ouch!
As Pavlov found when he was training his famous dogs, you'll soon learn to associate pain with thinking negatively about luck.
That may be enough to turn round the way you think but to be certain that this experiment to let you make your own luck works, let's do a bit more.
Write out a positive affirmation or two - something simple like "I am a lucky person" is fine but you can elaborate it if you want. Put it up as a note on your wall so you'll see it regularly. Mess around with the Windows settings and use it as your screensaver. Anywhere you'll see the message regularly.
Then keep a note of the times when you're luckier than you'd previously have been.
There's an excellent chance that you've just discovered a quick and easy way that you can make your own luck. Well done!
