You're nothing but a commodity on the local market!
You're nothing but a commodity on the local market!
You're nothing but a commodity on the local market!
You're nothing but a commodity on the local market of your town. Perhaps a cheap one at that. But you think yourself to be something or someone important, unequalled and nothing can be compared to you. You are more intelligent than others, wiser. And certainly more knowledgeable. But in reality others do not see you as much. For they, and each one of them, thinks exactly as you. So you are not much of a thing form them and vice-versa.
But in fact and in the reality of your life you are worth nothing but one dollar's worth on the actual market. Being made up of some milligrams of iron and zink, some grams of calcium and potassium, and % 90 of water. Water, you can find in abundance in the oceans, with better quality than your water that is filled with microbes, germs and bacteria.
Not much for your actual price. As for others, although they have the same price as yourself, do not give you a two dime value on their personal market. So, why be an arsehole in the air peacock and a boasting king of kings for nothing? Why not be yourself, a miserable being, sharing oxygen with the rats and mice, as well as the cockroaches of your district?
What is it you can boast about? Your good looks? Or your Einstein brain? Or your excelled wisdom of super knowledge? If you belong to neither category, then you ought to be satisfied with your modest, or even miserable, being and pass by as a marginal or a homeless squirrel.
Being serious, you are nothing to your neighbor but a parasite and in your job it is better that you are replaced and in your family you are better dead than alive if you have some money in the bank, and if not you are certainly better off dead than alive, for you are no use to anybody.
Alas, we are all like this. Go down to the nearest supermarket and see what's your real worth. If you have no money and are dressed like a beggar then you better not go in. If you go to the green grocer and ty to buy some of his Golden delicious apples then your worth to him is what you pay for your apples.
Neither in the local supermarket nor at the green grocer's you would be anything but a commodity, just like anybody else. If you come in or do not come it into either place it is just the same. No body waits for your arrival and you do not certainly receive the red carpet treatment.
Take a bus and tell the driver you are short of one or two dimes then the bus driver, and justly so, commands you to leave the bus and walk your distance. If you take a cab and do not pay full fair as it is registered on his taxi-meter, then you are bound to receive some hurting words, to your pride as the king of the district.
If you have no money no one looks at you and you are even marginalized to the full and treated like shit. But if you are a millionaire then the red carpet is laid down for you to walk on it. Banks open their doors for you and you will certainly get a cup of coffee for your millions. At the supermarket you are treated like others. The taxi driver, if he senses your money, and you give him a good tip then you are the lord himself.
Posh restaurants open their VIP hearts for you and five stars hotels welcome you up to your room with the prefix Sir, at every time they talk to you.
But as a pauper, you are thrown out before you are admitted by the doorman of any hotel, including cheap ones.
This is the law of the jungle! This is how you are treated according to your actual price value on the local market of your living area.
