Your Contracts May Be Limiting YOU!

You walk walk after an argument with someone and you are beside yourself with anger. We've all been there. In your anger you scream, either out loud or to yourself, "I will NEVER speak to that person again!". Believe it or not, you just created and entered into a contract.

Depending on the sincerity and depth of that contract, it could affect both you and the other person indefinitely; not only in this lifetime, but in future lifetimes, as well. In the above scenario, let's assume that the person that you argued with is someone with whom you are in a relationship with. After cooling down for a couple of days, you see this person again. Although you want to resume your relationship, you are perhaps held back. You may still feel angry and hurt. You may not truly know what the source of hesitation is. It could be warranted, but maybe not. Regardless of the reasons, one thing is certain. The contract has taken something away. It has created a hesitation somewhere in you. Held you back at least a little in a perhaps imperceptible way.

This is just one contract. What happens if you end up in another argument and you create yet another contract? Each contract that we create and enter into piles upon another. If this were to continue, this hesitation would no longer be just "energetic." It could become VERY real; could VERY consciously enter into this reality. Eventually, you would not be able to communicate with this person again, as the contracts would prohibit you from doing so.

Let's take this to the next level. In Shamanism, the assumption is that we live many lifetimes. What happens if you bump into this person again 10 lifetimes from now? Perhaps you meet this person as potential mate, business partner or just a friend in that lifetime. But, something inside you just won't let you. Perhaps you just get a bad feeling from this person. Or you are fearful around him/her. Have you ever met a complete stranger that, for no apparent reason at all, you just have an immense dislike for? In such cases, there is a possibility that your soul recognizes the other soul. It may be operating from an old contract or may recognize that the other soul is holding a soul piece for you that you want back. Of course, you may not be consciously aware of this, but your Authentic Self is.

These contracts bind us not only by obligating a behavior with other souls, but with ourselves, as well. "I will never do that again!" could stop you from opening another business again. It could stop you from entering into a relationship with someone else. Or, conversely, "I will help that person," could potentially obligate you indefinitely. We often create contracts within ourselves which can limit us from achieving whatever it is we are trying consciously to achieve.

Soul recovery helps us to look inside of us and at our relationships; with ourselves, others people AND other things or entities. It helps us to identify these contracts, allowing us to understand how they are affecting our lives and allowing us to deal with them. Operating from the perspective of "The Highest Good" gives you the power to break or amend these contracts.

If you notice that there are things that, regardless of the amount of effort you put in, you just can't achieve, look within. Perhaps there is a contract that you have to face?
