I feel that the solution today, clearly, is for you to take your security into your own hands and get home protected with an alarm system. Now, a couple of things you want to keep in mind. Number one, with an alarm system, what is the mechanism that system has to protect you outside the perimeter of your home? If somebody were to attack or if somebody were to try to home invade you from the outside, and you were out there, how would you protect yourself? I recommend, with an alarm system, that you have some sort of key fob or remote control or some sort of remote panic switch. You may be able to carry it in a pocket book if you are a lady, or a guy could carry it in a key chain, or vise versa. This way here you have some sort of mechanism to protect yourself outside of the home. That is key.
