What is DRM?

The term does not generally refer to other forms of copy protection which can be circumvented without modifying the file or device, such as serial numbers or keyfiles. It can also refer to restrictions associated with specific instances of digital works or devices. Digital rights management is used by companies such as Sony, Amazon, Apple Inc., Microsoft, AOL and the BBC.

What is iTunes DRM?

iTunes DRM files includes AAC, M4V, M4P, M4A and M4B. If you don't remove these DRM protections, you can't play them on your plain players. DRM is an acronym for Digital Rights Management, a broad term used to restrict the video use and transfer digital content.

One day, I just downloaded some music videos from iTunes store, I know this kind of .m4v format is drm protections, that is you can't play it on your players if don't remove drm protections, as they're in the DRM-Protected from m4v format. I wonder how do I go about ripping these videos and remove drm from m4v?

When searching some forum with same problem as mine, I know, need a program to do this, so I would like to share with everyone who has similar problem on it. The full steps are as followed:

Step 1. Free Download and install M4V Converter

Step 2. Add iTunes M4V video by clicking Add button Step 3. Click the "Settings" to choose the output format

Step 4. Select output folder Step 5. Click "Start" button to convert iTunes M4V movie.

Just several seconds, you will remove drm from m4v for your players.
