Aftermarket tinting of windows has always been a potential problem if the job wasn't performed properly. Poor window tinting can look unsightly if air bubbles are trapped between the film and the glass or it starts to peel because due to incorrect application. The film is also fairly easy to damage and a sharp or heavy object can make an unsightly tear or scratch that allows the full light of the untinted window to pass through, making the damage very obvious.Other damage can be caused to the film by the rubber seals on the windows rubbing against it.
